Food. Or is it?
Food everywhere, at least for those who can still afford it, and yet even then what exactly are you paying for? That’s a very good question and one that folks are asking more and more now that they’re turning to organic and healthier alternatives.
With the rise in processed foods and fast food establishments there has also been a corresponding increase in health problems and obesity. Is there a connection? As someone who has lived in Asia, Europe and North America I can attest to my own non-scientific observations that what is happening in America, and subsequently "exported" to the rest of the world, is abnormal. What exactly is going on and in the foods that we eat and what choices do we have to control our body and health?
If you haven’t already seen the trailer for "Food, Inc." then I suggest you do and try to either rent, borrow or buy a copy and see it for yourself. There were moments I wanted to weep and others where I could see some hope. No matter what there is a fight going on and people need to be aware.
